Statement Generation - MACRIM produced formatted financial statements from text files generated by a legacy Cobalt application. Fixed-width text files are generated and output to a "smart" folder. This data is then imported into SQL, XML output is generated and transformed, and PDF statements are rendered and delivered - all without human interaction. This technology is also used to deliver rich-text emails based on text-file outputs from legacy systems.
Email from Legacy Systems - SmartFolders are used to transform XML produced from legacy systems into rich HTML, which is then sent as an email.
Backup and FTP - SmartFolders are used to compress (zip) backups of SQL databases and FTP these files to remote locations. As needed in the remote environment, these archives are then unzipped and the databases restored to a different SQL instance - automating the process of maintaining a testing/dev environment. |
